Judgement Call

eFiction March 2014

My next door neighbors promised not to bother me anymore. The judge made it clear there would be hell to pay if they persisted.

Last week their whole family showed up collecting for the neighbors who lost their home to a fire days earlier? The burned out house was on the other side of my neighbors.

I didn’t answer my door. Finally they left. Later I went to get my mail and stepped on my stoop littered with burned wooden matches, dozens of them.

I know a warning when I see one, so I did what I had to do.
